Boomerang Upgrade

If you are using an older version of Boomerang and would like to upgrade to the most recent version, please follow the steps on this page.

1. Make backups of important data. Installing a new version of Boomerang can erase changes made to Boomerang TinyOS system files. Back up important data before proceeding.
2. Uninstall any previous version of Boomerang, such as Boomerang 2.0.2. Note: Uninstalling will not delete any of your data
   1. Uninstall using "Add/Remove Programs"
      1. Click on "Start", then "Control Panel"
      2. Double click on "Add/Remove Programs"
      3. Select the old version of Boomerang (often called "Moteiv Tmote Tools" (such as Tmote Tools 2.0.2)
      4. Click "Remove"
      5. Answer "Yes" to remove Tmote Tools
   2. If you no longer have the Tmote Tools 2.0.2 CD, you can also forcibly uninstall the package using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
3. Install the new version of Boomerang Tmote Tools
   1. Click on "setup.msi" on the Tmote Tools CD or in the Tmote Tools folder
   2. Proceed with the installation; Once completed, your Tmote Tools and Boomerang will be up to date.
